AllianceHealth Madill Launches the Only MRI Service in Marshall County
3/3/2026
Residents in Marshall County now have access to expanded healthcare services close to home with the addition of the county’s only magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine at AllianceHealth Madill. The new MRI system delivers high-resolution images that support faster, more accurate diagnoses across a wide range of medical conditions.
The MRI machine uses a large magnet and radio waves to see inside areas such as your joints, heart, blood vessels and brain. As magnetic and radio waves bounce off fat and water molecules in the body, a receiver produces images that allow doctors to easily see the difference between healthy tissue and a problem - such as a tumor. Other ailments that might require an MRI are nerve compression, spinal injuries or torn ligaments.
“We are thrilled to offer this critical service right here in Marshall County,” said Dan Coats, chief administrative officer. “For the first time, our community has direct access to MRI technology, improving both convenience and continuity of care for patients and their families. In addition, having this technology available close to home should reduce delays in diagnosis and improve access to timely treatment.”
Key Features of the New MRI Include:
- First and only MRI service in Marshall County
- Enhanced image quality making it easier to spot abnormalities
- Reduced scan times for improved patient comfort
- Wider bore design to accommodate patients with anxiety or mobility issues
- Support for a wide range of exams, including neurological, orthopedic and vascular imaging
The MRI service is now fully operational at AllianceHealth Madill and accepting patient referrals from healthcare providers across the region.
